Global Sourcing

Global Sourcing

We find the right manufacturer, the right price and the right supply structure internationally, and bring them together in one coordinated operation.

Global sourcing, at its simplest, means procuring what you need from the most suitable source anywhere in the world. In practice it means considerably more than finding a low-cost manufacturer. International sourcing requires identifying the right producer, verifying its capacity, defining the quality standard, structuring payment and planning logistics, all inside a single operation. Yurt Bereket Global manages that process end to end with the discipline of a global sourcing company.

What Global Sourcing Actually Involves

Global sourcing means making the procurement decision on the balance of cost, quality, capacity and lead time rather than on national boundaries. For a buyer the real question is not "which country should we buy from" but "which manufacturer can produce this to the required specification, at the required volume, on a predictable schedule".

Answering that question takes more than an online supplier directory. In supplier sourcing the difficulty is not finding names; it is verifying that a name is genuinely suitable. A process that begins with a supplier whose capacity falls short of the requirement, whose quality documentation is incomplete or whose pricing is inconsistent turns into cost at the first shipment.

Why Turkey Is a Sourcing Hub

Turkey features prominently in international procurement programmes, and there are structural reasons for that.

Manufacturing Depth

There is an established production base across industrial products, raw materials, metals and steel, machinery and equipment, building materials, agricultural products, fertilizers and agricultural inputs, and consumer goods. That breadth allows a buyer to manage several product groups from one source country rather than several.

Geography

A position with simultaneous access to European, Middle Eastern, Gulf, North African and Asian markets shortens lead times and makes alternative transport modes a genuine option rather than a theoretical one.

Logistics Access

Sea, road and air options can be combined, which gives real flexibility in shipment planning. Urgent batches and cost-driven bulk volumes can run under the same supply programme using different modes. Our global trade network page covers regional trade character in more detail.

How Our Sourcing Process Works

Requirement Definition and Verification

The process starts by fixing the technical specification. Price research carried out before product definition, quality standard, tolerance ranges, packaging and target quantity are settled is misleading. Candidate Turkish manufacturers are then assessed on production capacity, quality documentation and export experience.

Sampling and Quality

Sampling is the stage that demonstrates the specification is met in reality rather than on paper. The approved sample becomes the reference for series production, supported by independent inspection where the transaction warrants it.

Capacity Assessment

A plant that can produce one batch is not the same as a plant that can repeat the same quality for twelve months. Monthly output, continuity of raw material supply and storage capability are examined together.

Pricing

Price is never just unit cost. A comparison that excludes packaging, inland transport, customs, freight and the financing cost of the payment structure does not show the real landed cost.

Payment Structure

We build a model appropriate to the transaction size and the commercial history of the parties, whether that is a letter of credit, documentary collection or a partial advance structure. See our secure international trade page for detail.

Logistics

Incoterms selection, container planning, loading schedule and document flow are planned as part of the commercial structure, not after it.

What Buyers Receive

  • Verified manufacturer and supplier options
  • A comparable price structure that includes every cost component
  • A payment model that protects both sides
  • A planned and traceable shipment
  • A complete document set consistent with the commercial structure
  • Coordination through a single point of contact

Product Areas We Cover

Frequently Asked Questions

What people ask us

What is global sourcing?
Global sourcing is procuring a required product from the most suitable source internationally, based on the balance of cost, quality, capacity and lead time. It covers not only finding a manufacturer but also verification, pricing, payment structure and logistics planning.
How do you verify Turkish manufacturers?
We assess production capacity, quality documentation, export experience, pricing consistency and delivery reliability, supported by a sampling process and independent inspection where appropriate.
Can you source several product groups at the same time?
Yes. Because our model is product-independent, different product groups can be coordinated under a single sourcing programme.
What should we watch for when comparing prices?
Unit price alone is not enough. A comparison that ignores packaging, inland transport, customs, freight and the financing cost of the payment structure will not reflect true landed cost.
How is payment security handled in a sourcing operation?
We structure a payment model appropriate to the transaction size and the parties' commercial history. In credit-based transactions the process runs in coordination with the banks; Yurt Bereket Global is not a bank or a financial advisor.
